The miniSCAN is a compact terminal for portable time and guard tour control. Its use is extremely simple. In order to make a reading it is enough to approach a RFID card or tag and press the terminal's button.

Its RFID proximity reader allows it to read at a distance of 8 cm, storing up to 4000 readings.

It is available in two versions, one with a 16x2 character screen, which enables several functions such as showing the current date and time, employees' names and messages, and another one, more simple, with two signal LEDs. The backlighted, high-contrast screen enables its use in fairly illuminated environments.

The power feed is done through two small AA rechargable batteries. These batteries guarantee a battery life for more than 50000 readings, or one month working in standby mode. As an option, the terminal can be automatically recharged when you connect it to the computer.

The terminal's dimensions are 11cm x 6.5cm x 2cm.

In order to easily transport and use it, it includes a clip in the backside which allows it to be rapidly attached to a belt.

The latest version of this terminal has an improved USB interface, which enables it to be integrated in a simple a fast way with the all modern PCs.
